Analysis

The Mavs of the Doncic era underwent a radical transformation last season, giving up Dennis Smith Jr and DeAndre Jordan (expiring contract) to lure Porzingis from the Knicks, and afterwards getting rid of Harrison Barnes's contract landed to Sacramento.

The intriguing East European Doncic-Porzingis axis has the potential to stand in the next few years as one of the strongest "big duo" of the league, and the 2019-20 season will serve as a break-in for the new set-up.

The post-season has so far seen only minor moves that have brought Dallas players complementary to the new project. Marjanovic brings quick points from the bench and the chance to experience some impressive five, with a 6.8 point guard and two big men taller than 7.3.

Good "low key" move the acquisition of Delon Wright who will contend with Brunson for the minutes in point guard.

Trend clearly upwards with legitimate playoff ambitions.
