Analysis
Owner of the second best record of the Western Conference last year, Denver sticks on his established strategy of the small steps in the right direction, achieving and underrated market move with the acquisition of Jerami Grant from Oklahoma City. A very athletic and multidimensional defender, Grant is one of the few players that can really cover any role in the field, and represents a valid upgrade in PF where Paul Millsap is clearly approaching his father time and later in the season may find a new dimension starting from the bench.
The Nuggets also remain faithful to the tradition of potentially low price high reward bets, gambling on Bol Bol health in the draft, which could turn into a real steal. Among the good news we also mention that the latest Nuggets draft bet, Michael Porter Jr, is training regularly and is expected to make his debut as a pro next season.
In a generally strengthened WCF but without clear frontrunner after the partial breakdown of the Warriors dynasty, the Nuggets could be ready to make the big voice starting from the usual underdog position.
