Analysis
Being built on the intriguing young core Booker-Ayton, Phoenix had a clear priority in the post-season: recruiting a point guard worthy of a starting five in the NBA. The target was meet signing a veteran PG with "first pass second shoot" attitude like Ricky Rubio, ideal complement for Devin Booker in the backcourt who will also make life easier for the center De Andre Ayton.
The summer brought as well nice addictions in the big men department with the acquisition of Baynes, Saric, Diallo and Kaminsky, although having lost Holmes and Warren hurts.
Overall a much better structured team than last season that can start building a winning mindset, but still far away from playoff contention.
